I figured you guys are sick of Times Square (for now), so I hopped on over the next block to the Fashion Avenue. I figured I would take you guys down to where I used to work in the Fashion Biz. This little photo-shoot was taken across the street from my old place of work, on 39th Street & Fashion Avenue – The Heart & Soul of the Garment District. For my Spring & Summer wardrobe, I acquired plenty of floral dresses and skirts. Here’s one dress which I paired with an oldie, but goodie TEE which I bought 7 years ago. I swear it still feels & looks brand…

A Savage Garden
The House of McQueen has done it yet again, just last week the Royal Wedding and now an exhibition in New York. This past Monday, The Metropolitan Musuem of Art hosted The Costume Institute gala and it was all about McQueen, as most of the guests paid tribute by wearing the late designer’ creations. The mood was festive and celebrated Alexander McQueen’s genius and immeasurrable vision. The man created art meant to be seen in museums, a true visionary. Russian Epic – Inspiration DIOR
Almost a week ago in Moscow, 330 guests from all over the world gathered in Russia’s Pushkin Museum for the opening of the “Inspiration Dior” exhibit. The exhibit brings to Russia 120 couture looks from the house of Dior’s long history, alongside paintings and photographs that have inspired its designers over the past decades. LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton chief Bernard Arnault addressed the crowd: “What we wanted to show above all with this exhibit is that Christian Dior is an artist,” he said. “He wasn’t only a fashion designer, but also one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.” Arnault swept through the exhibit flanked by security, leaving…

Rockin’ Friday’s
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. The weather has been nice, but chilly over the weekend. Hot & Humid during the week and now its cool and sunny. I have been MIA for a few days and I know its time for an outfit post. The reason for my absence is because I’m suffering from the worst case of allergies the past 5 days or so. Pardon my mess and lack of posts. We live along the Hudson River H&M Sweater Dress Aldo Boots Tights?

Not Quite Little House on the Prairie
Another hot, humid & sunny day in the Big Apple. A nightmare for unruly hair. I apologize to everyone if I look a bit disheveled, my top is a bit crooked, but you guys get the picture. We were running a tad late after our lunch break. Let’s just say it was a Stella kinda day at the Bryant Park Cafe (ssshhhh). Not Quite Little House on the Prairie is what describes my look on Tuesday. I’m wearing a polka dot top from H&M, Skirt by Charles Gray, Accessories by H&M, Steve Madden Peep Toe Booties (a bit RocknRollish), old Gucci handbag and an Invicta Diver’s Watch. These are one of my favorite pairs of…

Eco-conscious collections. The High Line uses forest stewardship council-certified ipe hardwood that was sustainably harvested from a managed forest, and almost 80 percent of the plant species in section 1 are native to New York. Pictured here: This dress is crafted in New York City from recycled plastic soda bottles that are melted down and refined into the mesh-like fabric.

Tribal n Spring
Another Monday in the Big Apple. Such erratic weather we’ve been having this past weekend, but today I was finally able to go outside without having to wear my jacket. Wooohooo! Perfect day to wear my new tribal top with cut-off leggings and a splash of pink.

Lunch Date @ the Counter Burger Times Square
Another Windy, but sunny day in New York City. So since having lunch @ Bryant park was out of the question. We decided to see what the fuss was about and headed to the Counter Burger (sadly, our favorite burger joint closed down last year). Last Thursday, we decided to finally try the Counter’s build your own burger. Boy were we unimpressed, if you are into eating a burger that doesn’t taste like a burger, well this is the place for you. Can’t say we are ever going back, everything is overpriced and taste so-so. What did we expect this is Times Square after all. Here are a few photos we…
