    Bottega Vinetta Cruise 2012

At Bottega Veneta, Tomas Maier took a double-sided approach to the season. “The challenge is to work on the idea of resort as going away, but also as for the city,” he noted. Thus, looks were sporty, some with military touches, done in a muted palette with pops of brights. Maier also is launching his first resort collection for men, which opens for sales next week.

Kick your boring browns and blacks

Kick your boring browns and black to the curb and go bold with rich jewel tone colors. I opted for emerald green. Tell me what you chose, better yet show.  On Sunday May 1st, Styleta hosted a benefit fashion show for charity: WATER.  Created by college students, STYLETA is an up-and-coming nonprofit in the United States that sells donated designer clothing then gives the proceeds to charitable organizations, nation-wide.  Charity: Water is a worldwide non-profit organization that helps bring clean, safe drinking water to people all over the world who otherwise have no access to clean water.  We take for granted drinking water which we can easily find in any grocery aisle,…

    A Savage Garden

The House of McQueen has done it yet again, just last week the Royal Wedding and now an exhibition in New York. This past Monday, The Metropolitan Musuem of Art hosted The Costume Institute gala and it was all about McQueen, as most of the guests paid tribute by wearing the late designer’ creations. The mood was festive and celebrated Alexander McQueen’s genius and immeasurrable vision. The man created art meant to be seen in museums, a true visionary. Lunch Date @ the Counter Burger Times Square

Another Windy, but sunny day in New York City. So since having lunch @ Bryant park was out of the question. We decided to see what the fuss was about and headed to the Counter Burger (sadly, our favorite burger joint closed down last year). Last Thursday, we decided to finally try the Counter’s build your own burger. Boy were we unimpressed, if you are into eating a burger that doesn’t taste like a burger, well this is the place for you. Can’t say we are ever going back, everything is overpriced and taste so-so. What did we expect this is Times Square after all. Here are a few photos we…

    Parka N Boots

Holy crap, November is here and its COLD outside.  Perfect time to start wearing my newly acquired parka and boots.  Yesterday, my good friend/photographer Sadia and I ventured to Bryant Park since it was a nice and sunny day, although cold. What’s a sure indication that winter is coming; a Zamboni in the middle of Bryant Park prepping the The Rink to open for ice skating, that and the Bryant Park Bazaar is set to open soon. Check out the booths being built below that served as our backdrop. Now back to the business at hand, gotta tell you ladies that the boots are comfortable and warm, totally love em.…

    Shoptober

Hi everyone! October was such a busy month that I didn’t even find the time for my blog. Blogging and working full time isn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I did, however, find time to shop in the early hours; my favorite time to shop (no lines, you can find everything!) :), but I couldn’t find the time to take pictures of my finds or the mountains of shoes in my closet. No worries, I think November should be a pretty quiet month since its getting cold out and my activities will be limited. I will take better pictures of the skirt I’m wearing next time so…
