    Masculine Moment

My love affair with menswear stems from raiding my brother’s & my father’s closet when I was young.  Menswear appeals to us ladies, mainly because its seductive & androgynous.  Who can blame us, its empowering to be able to wear men’s clothes while still looking like a lady.  I have no idea why I held on to this post for so long.  These pictures were taken in June, right after my Belize vacation hence I’m very tanned 😉 This look is strong, yet still feminine, with clean and simple lines.  Oxford shoes by BASS $15 (Daffy’s Sale May 2011)

I’ve been DYING to wear this aztec print romper (which I bought 3 sizes too big) and my Jeffrey Campbell SECURITY in black patent. I knew they’d come together rather marvelously. Now these shoes are something else. They are daring, sick, bananas & glam rolled into one. I’m such a sucker for geometric heels and anything avant-agarde. I always wanted to do this ala Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain, except it wasn’t raining 😉   Being silly with my photographer My best friend in the whole world. Plaid Habit

I’ve always been a sucker for plaid. From my childhood til now, I can’t seem to shake my plaid habit. Quite the opposite, actually. I just keep piling on more plaid in my closet. This was added to my plaid collection last Winter from H&M. The vibrant colors transcends from Season to Season, a closet staple for years to come. I nabbed this jacket at the Styletta benefit last April. Skirt by H&M Winter 2010 Tank by Zenana Outfitters Shoes/Wedges by ALDO (Luzier)

    Tulles of the Trade

Its tricky to wear tulle, some of us won’t even think of it. We simply decided to sit this one out. Are you sitting this style out too? I figure go for it, take a risk – do or die. Although, I have a few outfits in mind. Let’s start with #1 – paired with my Jeffrey Campbell Lita Fur Pink Cheetah. Start with edgy then dive into something sweet next week with a blazer and some heels. How do you propose we could look chic in our childhood clothes?

I wear my sunglasses at night

Hey guys! Its Monday, I’m at work. Please Pardon the mess. With my hands full this weekend, I didn’t get a chance to upload outfit pics.  I did, however, fool around with my phone camera in the hospital while playing nurse to hubby. From the moment, I laid eyes on these sunglasses last Spring. I knew they were made for me. Read my Moody Swing post HERE, where I featured these babies. By far, these are the coolest shades I’ve ever owned.  They come in Gold & Silver, but I opted for the Gold.  Gianni Versace meant for the Medusa to be in Gold, so I figured why go against…

    Material Girl 2.0

Hey guys! Apologies for being M.I.A. the last few days. Hubby is in the hospital and I’ve been playing nurse, which means having zero time for anything. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.  Here’s a little peek at what’s coming up for today’s Junior’s Market, while I catch up with my outfit posts for the week. Enjoy! *Photos Courtesy of Conde Nast Publications* Left: Kensie Pieces cardigan, Odd Molly top, Kensie shorts, Costa Blanca necklace.
