Getting Gorgeous NYC 2011

I attended the Getting Gorgeous with Degree event this past Saturday, hosted by the fabulous duo; Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney, co-founders of Getting Gorgeous LLC.  When I arrived, I met this wonderful lady in the elevator who was wearing the most gorgeous necklace.  Sorry I didn’t get a chance to take a pic – bad blogger.  I signed in and was given a neon wristband and a stub for a drink ticket.  For a moment there, I I felt like I was heading into a club only this was mid Saturday Afternoon and the place was lit like a Christmas tree.  I wandered for a good 10 minutes before I met my fellow blogger Jen of House of Jeffers. Initially, we both felt overdressed, but as soon as we saw each other we automatically felt relieved.  The crowd was a mix of Mom’s and single ladies, but equally enjoyed getting pampered while having cupcakes & mimosas. A good Saturday overall.

Everyone was thrilled with their gift bag goodies, speaking of which, today I am wearing my new socks from HANES. Thank you, Hanes.  I promise to post more pics from the event later on this week.
