Matthew Williamson’s resort collection was inspired by the Far East, Tokyo in particular. With mash ups of traditional Japanese gardens and urban cityscapes. The highlights: pretty landscape graphics (high-rise buildings with the mountains in the background) on silk dresses and trim button-downs. Silhouettes were clean, the best way to flaunt those great patterns and intricate embellishments. Loads of silk, pom-pom details & feathers. Photographer Nobuyoshi Araki was this season’s muse.
