I absolutely adore mod and 60s style. Growing up my mom would often dress me like Twiggy since she was one of her favorite fashion icons. Twiggy wore everything with such ease and spot-on. She was groovy, spunky & edgy all rolled into one. Who’s your fashion icon? I found this 60s inspired print dress at H&M a few months back, but like everything in my closet it doesn’t get worn right away. Which is why, this weekend I shall be digging in my closet & show you guys what’s inside. I think I’m going to do my 1st ever wardrobe video.

London Fashion Week – Mary Kantrantzou Spring 2012
An amazing collection from Mary Kantrantzou who played with the theme “nature vs. nurture”, incorporating natural & high-tech fabrics into her designs. With her signature trompe l’oeil prints combined with car parts, tin cans & microphones. The collection is innovative & wonderful, filled with colorful eye-popping party dresses & knits, elaborate pants. *Photos Courtesy of Conde Nast Publicaitons* Photographer Giovanni Giannoni

Neo Native
Tribal influences is all around us this Fall. As fashion delves into native territory you don’t have to be a world traveler to embrace chunky Peruvian sweaters, fringe suede, Navajo prints & gaucho pants. The newest take on the tribal trend showed up on fall runways in New York this past February. Where Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez gave us a fresh approach to color & print, inspired by their trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Rodarte, Isabel Marant and Ralph Lauren also chose to go the native route for their fall collection. Seen here wearing my favorite Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s, Russian doll necklace, gold watch and tribal…

London Fashion Week – Burberry Prorsum RTW Spring 2012
A collection filled with old-fashioned hand craftsmanship; hand beading and crocheting, and materials such as wood, raffia and leather. Parkas, knitted leather sleeves, raffia fringing. Such an amazing collection with so much texture & color. *Photos Courtesy of Conde Nast Publicaitons* Photographer Giovanni Giannoni Sexy pencil skirts were fashioned from striped jacquard raffia and stretch cotton basket knit. A sweater made with crosshatch knitting on top and stripes on the bottom, paired with a dirndl skirt and wooden necklace. Parkas had sleeves made from woven leather.

Fall Fashion – Shirt Dress
Autumn is my favorite time of the year. As days get shorter & summer is waning, the leaves change colors, weather starts to cool, apple picking, pumpkin spiced latte – need I say more. This Fall the shirt dress is back. More chic & versatile that ever. Connect the Dots
This season, the classic print makes a comeback. Trend or no trend, I’ve been mad about spots for years. Peek into my wardrobe and you’ll find classic pieces accumulated over the years. Here I took a casual approach to the classic print and made it my own. Once Upon A Time in Istanbul
On a rainy Tuesday, September 6th at the heart of SOHO. I dragged my sickly self & Amy of Baby Budget Blog for the Misela Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Preview. Misela is a luxury handbag and home accessory line currently being sold at Bloomingdales, Henri Bendel, Sucre NYC, and Harvey Nichols Istanbul and Hong Kong. We had a wonderful time chatting with fellow bloggers and meeting the founder & creative director of Misela, Serra Turker. She credits influences from her native city, Istanbul and adopted city, New York, as well has her background in textiles & painting as the inspiration for her colorful collection. The evening bags and clutches with colorful prints…

Look Ma, No Heels – Jeffrey Campbell STR8UP Red
Wear with caution, guaranteed to cause absolute pandemonium. I wore these babies on Monday and practiced walking around Times Square during lunch. They are surprisingly comfortable, but then again I wear 4-6 inch heels on a normal basis. Stay tuned for more photos. I haven’t gotten the chance to upload much these days. This one’s thanks to Sadia & her amazing Galaxy phone.
