Not Quite Little House on the Prairie

Another hot, humid & sunny day in the Big Apple. A nightmare for unruly hair. I apologize to everyone if I look a bit disheveled, my top is a bit crooked, but you guys get the picture. We were running a tad late after our lunch break. Let’s just say it was a Stella kinda day at the Bryant Park Cafe (ssshhhh). Not Quite Little House on the Prairie is what describes my look on Tuesday. I’m wearing a polka dot top from H&M, Skirt by Charles Gray, Accessories by H&M, Steve Madden Peep Toe Booties (a bit RocknRollish), old Gucci handbag and an Invicta Diver’s Watch. These are one of my favorite pairs of…

Lunch Date @ the Counter Burger Times Square

Another Windy, but sunny day in New York City. So since having lunch @ Bryant park was out of the question. We decided to see what the fuss was about and headed to the Counter Burger (sadly, our favorite burger joint closed down last year). Last Thursday, we decided to finally try the Counter’s build your own burger. Boy were we unimpressed, if you are into eating a burger that doesn’t taste like a burger, well this is the place for you. Can’t say we are ever going back, everything is overpriced and taste so-so. What did we expect this is Times Square after all. Here are a few photos we…

    Manic Mondays

Outfit Post from Monday. So as most of you guys know, I work for a corporate law firm and the dress code is pretty square. I try to make it, as less square as possible by adding colorful accessories and fun shoes, you will rarely find me sans heels. Quite a leap from working in the fashion industry, where I was able to express myself through my clothes and pushing the boundaries was the norm, says the girl who wore 70s pants with a tie dye vest & clogs in the early 90s. I love Sadia’s look, she always has the best accessories. We influence each other like sisters, except she could never get me…

    Windy City

Sunday, April 17th – NYC felt like Chicago. It was extremely windy outside, enough so that I had to fight from being blown away. As usual we started off from Westchester through Manhattan & then finally off to Brooklyn to visit the Russian stores. I just love Sundays, besides the beautiful drive from the valley through NYC, the best part is that I get to have Turkish coffee and Baklava at my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. We took pictures in Brooklyn this time by the Verrazano Narrows Bridge & somewhere on 86th Street. Photos by Slav

    Dylan & Rose @ Georgia

This past Thursday, newcomer Dylan & Rose rolled out their Spring 2011 Collection at the Georgia Boutique in NoHo. They have some really cute stuff I would to love add to my Spring & Summer wardrobe.  I had a fun time chatting up some pretty cool folks, while sipping bubbly in between bites of cupcakes. Let me know which ones are you favorites and how you would style it. This is shirt is not part of the Dylan & Rose Collection, but is for sale @ Georgia. Fellow Blogger Allie Gorgeous Bag I wanted to take home – for sale @ Georgia I really loved this wall of mementos Dylan & Rose Spring/Summer Collection…
