Matthew Williamson Resort 2012
Matthew Williamson’s resort collection was inspired by the Far East, Tokyo in particular. With mash ups of traditional Japanese gardens and urban cityscapes. The highlights: pretty landscape graphics (high-rise buildings with the mountains in the background) on silk dresses and trim button-downs. Silhouettes were clean, the best way to flaunt those great patterns and intricate embellishments. Loads of silk, pom-pom details & feathers. Daytime Drama
I always associate sequins with soap operas and pageant queens. Joan Collins & Linda Evans on Dynasty and the Miss America Pageant during its heyday. The problem with having a lot of clothes is feeling like you’ve got nothing to wear. I’ve had this top in my closet for 2 years now, but didn’t get a chance to wear it til Monday. Remember Monday when I was stuck on Sunday – well let’s just say I waltz into work feeling bold and sleepy. I had to wear a long black blazer ofcourse (how else can I get away with it), but yup I wore leather & sequins to work. On a Monday nonetheless, lethargy must also translate as trying to get fired…

50s inspired, vintage couture with a twist. Micro Minis, retro swimwear with cardigan. Mixed & matched from graphic, pink & black floral print, inspired by a South of France feel. Delicate and flowy. The tweedlike effect on a purple silk dress with a sheer bustier bodice and matching cropped jacket.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am stuck on Sunday today, extra lazy & wished I was still in bed catching a few extra zzzs. Then maybe spend a lazy afternoon in the park or I could also just stay in bed and watch old movies. Am I the only one who feels like that today? I think its the weather. Sunday picnic in Central Park
Beautiful Sunday in NYC. Attended the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group picnic in Central Park and I had a blast with the girls, as always. It was the perfect way to end the weekend.
