Hello darlings. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! How did everyone spend their weekend? Did the snow dampen your festivities? I wasn’t going to let a little snow ruin my weekend. Although, I did watch quite a bit of foreign films from my couch. I managed to venture into Manhattan, snow & all on Saturday. And since my power went out, I was left with no choice but to eat out (a lot) Johnny Rocket’s for lunch, pizza with truffle oil. The only disappointment was not being able to make it to Nobu last night, but overall it was a great weekend. What can I say, I love sushi. Jeffrey Campbell Security.

A few of my favorite things
Sorry for the late post lovelies. I have been super busy at work – having very limited time to do posts, read your comments, visit your blogs & reply to said comments. I promise to visit as soon as things die down. Hopefully, I will be able to find time this weekend. Maybe tomorrow since its going to snow in New York. Yes, you heard it right snow in October. Enjoy your weekend & here are some photos taken while the weather was over 80 degrees, 28 days ago. Leather’s New Look – Spring 2012
For spring, designers are replacing its tough edge with soft shapes, a pale palette and pieces that might not even look like leather. My top picks – Versace for H&M
I’m getting more & more anxious as we get closer to November 19th. Most of you know, it’s the day Versace’s line for H&M is set to launch here in the U.S. We aren’t lucky enough to be included in the November 17th release date. Bummer. Since its unveiling, I have compiled a list of my favorites, which I think are standout pieces that I would glady add to my wardrobe. Here’s wishing. This looks like a dress, but its actually a 2-piece ensemble.

Amber Brush Off
Wearing: Miss Sixty Coat (old from last year), H&M sweater, Forever 21 skirt, Tights from Italy & Alexander Wang Addison Boots. On this day, it true felt like the windy city in Manhattan. You might be wondering, why I’m laughing uncontrollably in this photo? The answer can be found on the photo below. Times Square’s Naked Cowboy decided to grace my picture in the background. Alexander Wang’s dark-brown and yellow dégradé leather boots. Alexander Wang Addison Platform Boots. Is it Wednesday already? Time sure flies when you are swamped with work. I was in training all morning so pardon my muddled brain. Now, I’m just stuck sitting here pondering what to get into…

A little bit of color goes a long way….
How do you guys feel about colored denim? Do you share the same sentiment, as myself that it’s the answer to a drab wardrobe? I personally love color having grown up in the 80s. Think Benetton…So here, I decided to be brave and mix my favorite colored denim with a Navajo inspired pattern top complete with feathered accessory and funky shoes to boot.

Where do you stand? Occupy Wall Street
As a New York, taxpayer & consumer its hard to ignore the thievery & corruption that has been plaguing America. While on twitter 2 weeks ago, I read someone’s post which posed the question, “Why is there no coverage of Occupy Wall Street from NY Bloggers?” I myself had not written a thing about it. After all, I’m a fashion blogger, “What could it possibly do with me, right?” Well it has a lot to do with me, with us. We the consumers drive two-thirds of economic activity. The way corporations & lawmakers operate greatly affect us. We owe it to ourselves to pay closer attention. Last week, while perusing…

Urban View
This photo was taken a week and a half ago. Can you believe on this October day it was 80 degrees? 2011 has been filled with bizarre weather so far. Rachel Zoe RTW Spring 2012
The spring collection were inspired by Brigitte Bardot, apparent by the sheer white tie-neck blouse & the high waited palazzo pants, leopard prints, retro khaki cargo coat & matching shorts, gauzy seventies dresses, jumpsuits and long, flared-leg trousers. So what you ladies think, do we need another celebrity branded collection? Did Rachel Zoe deliver? I think so, I love most of the pieces here. I would definitely wear them. Very much my style **… Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend!!! xoxo
