Toga Party
Guten Morgen everyone! So far, I am having an exciting, fun Summer here in the big apple, but due to the overcrowding (who doesn’t love NYC in the Summer) I’m looking forward to a little time away. In the meantime, I find refuge from this congestion in places in the city that has not been advertised in a movie or tv show. And for that, I am deeply grateful for these places that I can still call my own, free from the crowds, and transports me back to the old New York I remember and love. I dug up this dress from my closet with price tag attached, it fell into…

Chasing the sun
My beautiful photographer, Claudia Anne Standing at 5’11 with looong legs She’s got taste in music too 😉 Jeffrey Campbell Leimomi Hi everyone! I apologize deeply for being away for so long, but I’ve been going through some changes at work & in my personal life-that needed some tweeking. The last few months has been all about learning to balance my new responsibilities at work and finding time to be selfish, give myself some me time. These pictures were actually taken in April of this year, while it was still Spring here in NYC and I have been meaning to post them for what seems like ages now. I have…

Festive Feet
Jeffrey Campbell Damsel My fashion statement always starts with my shoes, then my legwear. Habitually festive and daring. Depresssion, recession – the global economy can’t stop this girl from investing in shoes. Some of my favorites this Spring: Colored specs. Tulle. Platform shoes. Sheer polka dot shirt. Funky legwear. Need I say more.

Killer Shoes – Jeffrey Campbell Shadow
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Shadow Buy it HERE Jeffrey Campbell Shadow One thing about these killer shoes you can wear them with just about anything. Problem is I rarely take them out. Why? Well these are not exactly the kind of shoes I can wear to work. Unless, of course I want to get fired. These babies do all the talking and do so LOUDLY. Plus the insane hardware can literally kill someone. Note to self: do not wear if planning to board an airplane. Worn appropriately while visiting a President’s Tomb (more on that on the next post). Threw on equally loud legwear, jacquard skirt & sequined top. Perfect for a day out in the city that never sleeps.

No Trespassing
Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, Jeffrey Campbell Combat Boots, H&M Skirt, Steve Madden Socks & Forever 21 sweater. Jeffrey Campbell Combat Boots Have you ever missed something from your childhood. A piece of clothing, shoes or accessories perhaps. A favorite of yours when you were a child and something you held on to like a security blanket. Mine was a red Hello Kitty bag from kindergarten lol – dorky I know, but I rocked the playground with that bag. This winter I thought a lot about sweaters gifted during the holidays and I started to yearn for my fair isle sweater. Unfortunately, I no longer fit in mine and since…

Good Morning. Good Afternoon. Good Evening. Depends where you are in the world, you get my drift. This past weekend NYC was blessed with beautiful weather – perfect for a blog shoot. Finally able to do one of my to do shoots in non-other than Long Island City (Queens) with NYC serving as the backdrop (plenty of locations in LIC) but I decided this would be first of many. How great is that. It was also St. Patrick’s Day so the city was full of people,…

The calm after the storm……
Life has a funny way of getting you back on the right track. The last year hasn’t been an easy one for me, but I guess that really explains why I started this blog in the first place. An outlet to a life I was not happy with, and which was no longer mine. So this past month I’ve been hiding out in my lair (hahaha) – grieving, pondering, strategically planning my next move. Today, I finally decided to post after so many weeks of being away. I figured since I’ve got myself back – its time to focus and just be. These pictures were taken the day after Hurricane Irene hit…
